Fredrik Svanberg, from National Historical Museums, Department of Cultural History and Collections, Stockholm, Sweden has reviewed my book – Contesting Human Remains in Museum Collections – for the Norwegian Archaeology Review. It’s a good review, one that clearly comes from having read the book thoroughly.  He ends by asking the key question about my research: ‘One concerns the depth and extent of the authority crisis described. Can the fuss and uncertainties over human remains specifically really be seen as the mark of a crisis of the museum institution in full?’
